Rules and Terms
Reinventing education in performing arts
Program Levels
Level 1 - Elementary is designed for pianists who are enrolled in colleges and would like to have more opportunities to learn and/or collaborate with other musicians and gain more accompanying experience. Advanced high school piano students would also be considered. Students will have an opportunity to work with pre-college performers or amateur adults during lessons and at the student recitals. The most successful applicants would be considered for collaborative performances at GMP festivals and concerts worldwide.

Prerequisites to apply (Level 1):
  • Ability to perform in all keys
  • Basic sight reading skills
  • Good sense of rhythm
  • Ability to perform Suzuki level accompaniments (refer to Suzuki books 1-7)
  • Collaborative experience is not required to enter Level 1

Level 2 - Intermediate is designed for advanced pianists of college level performance ability (outstanding high school pianists would also be considered). Accepted applicants will have an opportunity to work with college students and highly advanced pre-college performers during lessons, studio classes and concerts. The most successful applicants would be considered for collaborative performances at the GMP festivals and concerts worldwide.

  • Ability to perform in all keys
  • Good sight reading skills
  • Ability to learn new works in a timely manner
  • Good sense of rhythm
  • Ability to perform repertoire from baroque to contemporary periods
  • Some collaborative experience is required

Level 3 - Elite is designed for outstanding collaborative pianists who are seeking career advancement, network expansion and more experience performing at venues with highly advanced performers and top level concert artists.

Prerequisites to apply (Level - 3):
  • Outstanding performing skills
  • Outstanding sight reading skills
  • Ability to learn new works quick
  • Immaculate sense of rhythm
  • Ability to perform repertoire from baroque to contemporary periods
  • Collaborative experience is required
Travel
  • All selected participants and their accompanying persons will be responsible for their personal expenses including traveling, hotel, meals, sightseeing etc. (unless specifically agreed on conditions for each particular package).
  • Applicants and their accompanying persons are solely responsible for obtaining foreign entry visas from embassies and consulates of a corresponding country. GMP will provide a letter of invitation for those applicants selected to perform at the Festival. Performers and their accompanying persons should consider appropriate time frame for visa obtaining process.
  • GMP does not bear responsibility for any applicants' and/or any of their accompanying persons' failure to obtain an entry visa resulting in inability to travel.
Program Cost
The cost of the program depends on the availability and location of events, performers, and instructors, and will be detailed in each contract separately.
Application Processing Fee: $19 (plus tax)
Additional Terms
Indemnification by Applicant
By entering the GMP programs, concerts and festivals, the applicant releases and holds the Global Music Partnership and its partners harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any award, participation in the Program, Festival and/or Recital, any breach of any Festival Rules or in any award-related activity. The entrant agrees to fully indemnify, without limitation, the Global Music Partnership from any and all claims by third parties relating to the programs, concerts and festivals.

Privacy/Use of Personal Information
As a condition of entry, all applicants grant GMP the right to: a) Use his or her personal information for the purpose of administering the programs, concerts and festivals; b) Use his or her name, email, mailing address, photograph, video and audio recordings, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law; and c) Use his or her name and his or her respective City and Province of residence in connection with any media now known or hereinafter devised. All parties will use personal information only for purposes related to the Programs, Concerts and Festivals.

Limitation of Liability
GMP assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies, release, any defective application form or any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an audition materials and application form. GMP is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information regardless of the cause. GMP is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant or to any computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading materials from this website. GMP reserves the right to make changes to its website, rules, policies, and regulations at any time without notice.
