Founded in 1991 by Aiman Mussakhajayeva after the collapse of the Soviet Union,
the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra has become one of the leading orchestras in
independent Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Comprised of accomplished performers, many of whom are prize winners of international competitions, the orchestra represents the musical art and performance traditions of Kazakhstan through international concert tours and develops international cultural relations.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and State Concert Organization "Qazaqconcert" the orchestra successfully performs in the most prominent concert halls in Europe (Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Russia, France), Asia (South Korea, Turkey, Japan), and America (USA) and collaborates with leading conductors and soloists from around the world.
