GMP National Honors Ensemble

Rules & Terms

Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Rules & Terms apply to the GMP National Honors Ensemble (the "Ensemble"), a program of Global Music Partnership LLC ("GMP"). By submitting an application, you agree to them. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian agrees to them on your behalf. In these Rules & Terms, "you" means the applicant or Ensemble musician. Where the musician is under 18, "you" also includes the musician's parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Rules & Terms on the musician's behalf.
1. Eligibility and selection
  • The Ensemble is open to pre-college and college musicians from across the United States.
  • Musicians are selected by audition. Selection decisions are made by GMP faculty at their sole discretion and are final. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
  • Audition videos must be your own performances, recorded within the 6 months before you apply. GMP may decline or withdraw an application that contains inaccurate information.
  • Musicians are selected project by project. Taking part in one project does not guarantee a place in future projects.
2. Parental consent and supervision
  • If the applicant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must approve the application, agree to these Rules & Terms on the applicant's behalf, and pay any fees and tuition.
  • If the applicant is under 13, a parent or legal guardian must complete and submit the application.
  • GMP supervises musicians only during scheduled rehearsals and performances. Outside those times, including travel to and from activities, the parent or guardian is responsible for the musician's supervision.
  • Musicians under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or an adult designated by them at performances held away from the musician's home area.
3. Application fee
  • First-time applicants pay a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $25. A first-time application is reviewed once the fee is paid.
  • Returning Ensemble musicians do not pay the application fee.
4. Project tuition
  • Project tuition is $150 per project for musicians enrolled in the GMP National Service Program, and $200 per project for all other musicians.
  • Tuition covers rehearsals and preparation for the performance. It is due only if you are selected, by the date GMP gives you when you are selected.
  • Tuition is non-refundable once paid, including if you withdraw or are removed from a project. If GMP cancels a project, you may choose a full refund or a credit toward a future project.
5. Rehearsals, performances and conduct
  • Selected musicians agree to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances, arrive on time and prepared, and follow the directions of the Artistic Director, Co-Director and GMP staff.
  • Musicians must follow the rules of each venue, including security, dress code and check-in procedures, which may be strict at institutions such as the United Nations, embassies and universities.
  • GMP may remove a musician from a project, at its discretion, for misconduct, unsafe behavior, repeated absence or lack of preparation. In that case, tuition is not refunded.
6. Travel, meals, lodging and other expenses
Musicians and their parents or guardians are responsible for their own transportation, meals, hotels and any other expenses connected with rehearsals and performances, unless GMP states otherwise in writing for a specific project. GMP does not arrange or supervise travel. Parents and guardians are responsible for minors' transportation to and from all activities.
7. Photos, audio and video
  • By taking part, you grant GMP the worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to photograph, film and make audio and video recordings of rehearsals and performances, and to use musicians' names, photos, likenesses, voices, performances and recordings in any media, now known or later developed, for GMP purposes, including our website, social media, newsletters, broadcasts, streaming, recordings, marketing and program materials.
  • No compensation is paid for this use. GMP owns these photos and recordings, and you waive any right to inspect or approve them or their use.
  • Musicians and families may not record, post or share rehearsals, or performances where the venue does not allow it, without GMP's permission.
  • Audition videos you submit are reviewed by GMP faculty and are not published without your permission.
8. Instruments, personal property and damage
  • You are responsible for your own instrument, equipment and personal belongings at all times. GMP, its partners and venues are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to them. We recommend insuring valuable instruments.
  • You and, if you're under 18, your parent or guardian are responsible for any damage you cause to venue property, equipment, or other people's property, and agree to pay for its repair or replacement.
9. Health and emergencies
You confirm that you are able to take part in rehearsals and performances, and that you will tell GMP in advance about any medical condition, allergy or need that staff should know about. In a medical emergency, if a parent or guardian cannot be reached, you authorize GMP to arrange emergency medical care for the musician, including emergency transportation and treatment by licensed medical providers. Any resulting costs are the responsibility of the musician or their parent or guardian.
10. Privacy
We use your personal information only to run GMP programs, events and projects. We never sell your information, and we don't share it with others except as needed to run the program (for example, payment processing through PayPal) or as required by law.
11. RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
To the fullest extent the law allows, you and, if you're under 18, your parent or guardian, each for yourselves and your heirs, executors and assigns, release and hold harmless Global Music Partnership LLC; its partners, sponsors, host organizations and venues; and the officers, directors, employees, contractors, faculty, volunteers, successors and assigns of each (together, the "Released Parties") from any liability for injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property arising directly or indirectly from taking part in the Ensemble, its rehearsals, performances, travel or related activities, including liability caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties, but not gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You and, if you're under 18, your parent or guardian also agree to indemnify and defend the Released Parties against any claims by others, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your actions or omissions in the Ensemble or from breaking these Rules & Terms.
NOTICE TO THE MINOR CHILD'S NATURAL GUARDIAN: READ THIS FORM COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. YOU ARE AGREEING TO LET YOUR MINOR CHILD ENGAGE IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY. YOU ARE AGREEING THAT, EVEN IF GLOBAL MUSIC PARTNERSHIP LLC USES REASONABLE CARE IN PROVIDING THIS ACTIVITY, THERE IS A CHANCE YOUR CHILD MAY BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY BECAUSE THERE ARE CERTAIN DANGERS INHERENT IN THE ACTIVITY WHICH CANNOT BE AVOIDED OR ELIMINATED. BY AGREEING TO THESE TERMS YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR CHILD'S RIGHT AND YOUR RIGHT TO RECOVER FROM GLOBAL MUSIC PARTNERSHIP LLC IN A LAWSUIT FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, TO YOUR CHILD OR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT RESULTS FROM THE RISKS THAT ARE A NATURAL PART OF THE ACTIVITY. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO AGREE TO THESE TERMS, AND GLOBAL MUSIC PARTNERSHIP LLC HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO LET YOUR CHILD PARTICIPATE IF YOU DO NOT AGREE.
12. Limitation of liability
GMP isn't responsible for lost, late or incomplete applications, for technical problems with this website, forms or payments, or for inaccurate information provided by others. To the extent permitted by law, GMP's total liability to you is limited to the fees and tuition you paid for the project concerned.
13. Changes and cancellations
GMP may change rehearsal schedules, venues, repertoire or performance dates, or cancel a project, when circumstances require. We will let selected musicians know as soon as possible. Refunds for cancelled projects are described in section 4.
14. Governing law and venue
These Rules & Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from them or from the Ensemble will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any part of these Rules & Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the fullest extent allowed and the rest remains in effect. These Rules & Terms, together with the application, are the entire agreement between you and GMP about the Ensemble.
16. Changes to these terms
GMP may update these Rules & Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date at the top shows the current version. The version you agreed to when you applied applies to that application.
