Asian Crossroads at Yale and Global Music Partnership, under the patronage of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in New York, present a cultural event on October 25, 2025, at Yale University, titled ‘Kazakh & Central Asian Heritage Celebration.’ This event aims to introduce Central Asian culture and promote cross-cultural understanding through music, tradition, and performing arts.

The event will showcase distinguished artists and young talents, including the GMP National Honors String Ensemble and Violin Ensemble, presenting musical works by celebrated Kazakh composers such as Serik Erkimbekov, Gaziza Zhubanova, and others.
Highlighting the program is the Connecticut premiere of Kuat Shildebayev’s Küy "Karakemer" for solo and strings—its first U.S. publication by Global Music Partnership Press—and the presentation of its published score as a gift to the Yale University Music Library.

The participant agrees to actively participate in the preparation process, which includes learning and mastering their assigned parts.
Attendance:
The participant must attend all designated online or in-person rehearsals as scheduled.
Punctuality:
The participant is expected to arrive on time for all rehearsals, events, and related activities.
Professional Conduct:
The participant will maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude toward instructors, peers, and staff throughout the program.
Communication:
The participant must promptly notify the program coordinator of any scheduling conflicts, absences, or issues that may affect their participation.
Preparation Outside Rehearsals:
The participant is responsible for practicing and preparing their parts independently outside of scheduled rehearsal times.
Adherence to Guidelines:
The participant agrees to follow all program rules, terms, and instructions provided by the program staff.

There will be one major rehearsal before each performance event. Leading up to these major rehearsals, preparatory sessions will be held either over Zoom or in person, organized by separate groups. These sessions will be scheduled in coordination with everyone's availability. The goal of these preparatory sessions is to ensure that all participants are well-prepared for the major rehearsal and, ultimately, the performances at each location.
All participants are required to attend the preparatory sessions, coordinating their schedules with the artistic director and/or designated advisor.

- Distribution of Parts:
- Participants will receive their music parts via email.
- Non-Sharing Agreement:
- Participants agree not to share, distribute, or reproduce the music parts without prior written permission from the Global Music Partnership LLC.
- Usage Restrictions:
- The music parts are strictly for use in the designated events and activities of the program. Participants may not use the music for any other purpose without explicit authorization.
- Compliance:
- Failure to adhere to these rules may result in disqualification from the program and/or legal action, as determined by the Global Music Partnership LLC.
- A $25 application fee must be paid upon receiving the invoice after submitting the online application form. (This fee does not apply to members of the GMP National President's Volunteer Service Award Program.) If accepted, participation fees must be paid in full and in a timely manner upon receiving the invoice.
- Members: $150
- Non-members: 200
- Late Fee: $50
Participants are eligible to receive volunteer hours upon request.
All selected participants and their accompanying persons will be responsible for their personal expenses, including travel, accommodations, meals, sightseeing, and other related costs, unless special arrangements are made in advance.
- By entering the Global Music Program/Events, the applicant releases and holds the Global Music Partnership and its partners harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any award, participation in the Global Music Partnership Programs/Events, any breach of any Global Music Partnership Programs/Events Rules or in any award-related activity. The entrant agrees to fully indemnify, without limitation, the Global Music Partnership from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Global Music Partnership Programs/Events
- As a condition of entry, all applicants grant Global Music Partnership LLC the right to:
- a) Use his or her personal information for the purpose of administering the Global Music Partnership Programs/Events, including but not limiting to his or her name, email, phone number and mailing address;
- b) Use his or her name, photograph, video and audio recordings, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law; and
- c) Use his or her name and his or her respective City and Province of residence in connection with any media now known or hereinafter devised.

- Global Music Partnership LLC assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies, release, any defective application form or any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an audition materials and application form.
